What is the End of Year Offering?

It's been our tradition at the end of the year to take up a special offering to fund something outside of our normal operational funds.

This year we are collecting funds to help those in need in our community through the ministry of our Food Pantry.

“In years past, we’ve been able to fund special projects within our church (kitchen remodel, children’s ministry spaces, etc) as well utilize the End of the Year Offering to bless an organization or cause outside of our church (Refuge, Meals on Wheels, Convoy of Hope, etc). ”

Food insecurities continue to rise

More and more people are finding it hard to make ends meet, enough so that buying enough groceries to feed their families becomes a struggle. Our Food Pantry serves over 100 families each week, and due to the uncertainties of SNAP benefits, that number is projected to increase more and more each month.

Food costs continue to soar.

Just as all of us have experience the rise in cost of our grocery bill, so has the Pantry’s. Even though we have some amazing partners that provide us free food and good every week (Aldi, Target & Costco) the availability of food from our primary source, Mid-Ohio Food Bank, is less and more expensive.

The need is increasing

And so is the cost.
